No Use for Donk Twits
That the sequester has thrown the Obama administration for a loop is understandable. President Obama, riding a long winning streak, may well have believed that Republicans would back down in the face of his threats to demagogue the issue. And he almost surely believed that, if he demagogued the issue, a clear majority of the public would take his side.

So naturally, when things didn’t work out that way, the administration became flustered.

Even so, it’s difficult to account for this news, via Andrew Johnson at NRO, about the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll. Just last Friday, when Fox News anchor Jenna Lee asked whether the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll might go the way of its cancelled tours, Carney contemptuously dismissed the possibility:
Well actually, Jenna, again, if you did a little reporting . . . it’s paid for by the sale of those eggs that come out, as well as from donations on the outside, so it’s a totally different budget. These are apples and oranges.
But today we learn from Politico that Capitol Hill offices received an e-mail with tickets to the event that mentioned it could be cancelled “due to funding uncertainty surrounding the Executive Office of the President and other federal agencies.” The email further stated that if the egg roll is cancelled, it will not be rescheduled.

I'm sure the boy spokesman Carney doesn't want egg on his face.
