where was our current Sec of State on the issue of a defense shield?

(CNSNews.com) – In the 1980s, when now- Secretary of State John Kerry was a Democratic U.S. senator from Massachusetts, he criticized the Reagan administration’s plan for a missile defense system -- known as the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) -- calling it a “cancer on our nation’s defense.”

According to an Aug. 5, 1986 story from the Associated Press, then-Sen. Kerry wanted to cut funding for SDI -- critically known at the time as ‘Star Wars’-- and called the program a “cancer.”

“This is the time we must say 'no' to the president's dream, a dream based on illusion, but one which could have real and terrible consequences,” he later added.

So....while Barry Soetorro was doing blow, looking for radical professors to worship or hanging around with domestic terrorists,...our John Kerry (who served in Viet Nam) was doing all he could to stop a anti-warhead shield that....

was just deployed in Guam.

Yeah, that is our leadership today.

In his statement, Biden criticized the Bush administration proposal for a missile defense system, questioning whether the costs of missile defense outweighed its benefits.

“I worry that funds devoted to missile defense, or the recent tax cut, are hurting our ability to meet these more current and realistic threats,” Biden said.

“And I worry that a narrow-minded pursuit of missile defense, without having any notion of what missile defense to develop, could derail both our programs in Russia, as well as our negotiations with North Korea,” he added.

Biden went on to ask whether the Bush plan for a missile defense system would make the United States “more, or less, secure.”

Thats right, a missile shield system that makes us LESS secure.

Mr VP, would you look into ways we can dismantle our defensive shield because then we could open a meaningful dialogue with the man-child of North Korea?

BTW, what was Barry Soetorro doing in 2001? Running around with Acorn Frauds, painting fire Hydrants in Chicago & buying cut-rate land from a Felon swindler.

Its possible,...

John Kerry was against it, now he is for it...an evolving position like queer Marriage.

No wonder our allies can't figure us out....we can't even figure our administration out other than to be certain they LIE (ie Benghazi).
