DC Turns on Obama...

The thing to keep in mind - the left has been stewing for a long time about drone strikes and broken promises. In just a couple of days, two things that really piss off the left (abuse from the IRS and police state force against the free press) have been added to that fire.

I was getting ready to post this. Mike Allen and Jim Vandehei know their stuff. Obama's ####ed now. Even most of MSNBC has turned on him. Scarborough tore him a new ess whole today.

Obama don't have a dance partner.

I will dance with you, you renegade!

And, to think, we were already friends. We are Americans!

Seems like just yesterday you were calling all who dared criticize him racists.

They grow up so fast.

I'll sum up my thoughts like this: At least Nixon had the decency to resign.

We can't have the victory dance this far in advance, but at least, we are seeing some heads come out of the sand. I don't necessarily want my current POTUS to be impeached because that looks really bad to the rest of the world, and puts us more at risk. I would rather Obama be seen for what he is, Congress take action against him, the American people show the world that we are still strong, and Obama remembered in our history books as the biggest joke, wannabe socialist, failure ever!

The trust between the media and the White House is gone.

The media's going to start investigating a whole lot more. They're going to look in to this IRS thing. The Benghazi stuff showed that the White House will lie to the public without hesitation. They're going to look in to how "Obama Care" is implemented and who's getting a free pass on that. They're going to see if the IRS abuses its power there (which has been one of the main fears Conservatives have had about "Obama Care" - fears liberals and people in the media have ignored until now).

The person I feel bad for is Jay Carney. He's probably going to be growing a lot of gray hairs over the next few weeks.

Chuck Todd verbally assassinated him earlier during the White House press briefing.

I get why Obama was elected. Even though, I didn't vote for him, I had hope. It was cool that a 'somewhat' blackman was elected in a country that had an ongoing problem with equality and civil rights. But, Obama, was not the black man that should have been elected for the first time because he is not an American; I am not talking about his birth certificate. Obama is not an American, he is a terrorist, community organizer, socialist, soon to be Nazi, egotistical pig. Zoe or Dr. Carson would have been better choices, but, the problem is, they refuse to be puppets. It is not about color, it is about patriotism, the Constitution, and the belief in America,

I'm done defending him and trying to mix up word salads. And I can't believe there are people still trying to defend him. If this was Bush, all of us on the left would be HOWLING.

I think sometimes that it looks like Carney just wants to commit suicide right then and there during a press briefing. I think he did not know what he was getting himself into. Ain't Washington politics grand; especially when you are representing a socialist president in a republic country. :killingme: I think some people get confused about that America is a democracy, which in turn, makes them think of the Democratic party. They are so ill informed, and some are so ignorant, that they will never know the difference. Our forefathers formed this nation as a republic. Look up the definition, people. Yes, the definition of democracy and republic are close, but there is a distinct difference.

This week has been the political version of Hurricane Katrina.

Well, it is interesting to see some turn of events for Obama. I have a stash of popcorn, and have installed a seat belt on my couch!

Vernon Jordan, a close adviser to President Bill Clinton through his darkest days, told us: “It’s never all right if you’re the president. There is no smooth sailing. So now he has the turbulence, and this is the ultimate test of his leadership.” Jordan says Obama needs to do something dramatic on the IRS, and quick: “He needs to fire somebody. He needs action, not conversation.”

It'll be interesting to see if he can reach down and find his man parts and actually lead. He has thus far failed to demonstrate any capability of doing so.

He certainly does not have any leadership experience; something the media and the left glossed over, and screamed "racist!" when people on the right pointed that lack of real world experience out.

It's been argued here and elsewhere that he wants to be seen as a leader, without having to make any of the hard decisions; particularly if those decisions might make him look bad.

I wouldn't be surprised if spokeshole Carney resigns in the next few weeks. Even he must've had a "Dude. WTF?" moment with the president.

Maybe Hilarity was smart to get out while she could.

if Progressives had not been so busy genuflecting at 'the altar' of the elected Black MAN - ie so wrapped up in ideology of 'hey we had a historic moment and elected a black man to the white house, they would have seen this when Obama was running for election the 1st time .... by how he got himself elected Senator [NO Morals and seen who his friends were - oh wait they LOVE Ayers]

Awesome thread! Thanks to seven, it was brought back from the archives. Love it!

And, all played out, exactly, what was said here in May 2013.

Obama’s aloof mien and holier-than-thou rhetoric have left him with little reservoir of good will, even among Democrats. And the press, after years of being accused of being soft on Obama while being berated by West Wing aides on matters big and small, now has every incentive to be as ruthless as can be.

This White House’s instinctive petulance, arrogance and defensiveness have all worked to isolate Obama at a time when he most needs a support system. “It feel like they don’t know what they’re here to do,” a former senior Obama administration official said. “When there’s no narrative, stuff like this consumes you.”

( Also on POLITICO: Watchdog: IRS used 'inappropriate criteria')

Republican outrage is predictable, maybe even manageable. Democratic outrage is not.

The dam of solid Democratic solidarity has collapsed, starting with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd’s weekend scolding of the White House over Benghazi, then gushing with the news the Justice Department had sucked up an absurdly broad swath of Associated Press phone records.

Democrats are privately befuddled by the White House’s flat-footed handling of this P.R. and legal mess, blaming a combination of bad timing, hubris and communications ineptitude. The most charitable defense offered up on background is that Obama staffers are scandal virgins, unaccustomed to dealing with a rabid press.

yeah the outrage was so real ........ not

Thanks for replying to mamatutu. The nostalgia of it all. And, yeah, I get it.

Also, wanted to say that hypocrisy is dripping from the rafters in the Capitol building, and dripping down on all who gather there. Very toxick stuff. It is fun to watch the NWO implode; at least for NOW.
