The Tri-County Animal Shelter is offering a reduced-fee cat adoption event in June to help find loving homes for cats. The shelter will take in more than 400 cats in June. Many are loving and friendly house cats looking for a new home.

View available cats in the free-roaming cat room on the cat cam at http://www.CharlesCountyMD.gov/es/tcas/catcam.

Preview the cats before coming to adopt. Watch the beautiful calico cat, Dot, who was brought in as a stray, and Sebastian, a Maine Coon cat with long flowing hair who was turned in because the owners were moving. These two cats, and many others, are desperately searching for a new home.

These are just a couple of the many cats available for adoption, so if you've thought of adding a feline to your family, adopt a cat for just $5 and join the Tri-County Animal Shelter as we celebrate national Adopt-a-Cat-Month in June.

The Tri-County Animal Shelter is located at 6707 Animal Shelter Road in Hughesville. Shelter staff can be reached at 301-932-1713 or 800-903-1992. Adoption hours are Monday-Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
