Wildlife rescue?

Injured raccoon. Looks like he (?) hurt his left hind leg, and can't get around too well. He's attracted to the cat food I leave out for the barn kits, happily munching down whatever chow is left in their bowl. Looking for a wildlife rescue. Anyone? Bueller?
TIA,
Ed

Ed, the DNR people would suggest a quick dispatch of the critter with a .22.

Rescue is not for nuisance species that are potentially rabies carriers.

Do you recommend criminal activity as a matter of course, or is this a special case? Hey, how 'bout I cap the critter and toss the remains under your porch- that work for you?

They put trash cans out for their customers to use. Figured it was nicer than just throwing the dead bird i pulled out of my grill on the ground.
