But there is no doubt that inflation adjusted middle class wages have fallen in direct relation to loss of union membership.

And they appear to have fallen in direct relation other falling things too. Two things happening at the same time do not have to be linked. Traffic fatalities, been dropping forever....maybe thats why, or maybe it's tied other things. Maybe unions stopped growing because they places the thrived in failed? And those employees stopped making money?

..and so does the cost of everything we buy. I'll go for lower costs. What difference does it make if you pay a $1.00 for something and scale is $15.00 and hour vs paying $2.00 and scale is $30.00 and hour?

Because the union claims to be there to help employees; the truth being, they don't want to p*ss off management. By that I mean, if management claims to have a case against an employee, all the union reps do is say, 'well.....management said.....' so you're just gonna have to suck it up.
