So first, the test subjects.

Boy is 25, no alcohol, no coffee, Mountain Dew drinker.

I'm a seldom alcohol, just starting to tolerate coffee, love Mountain Dew and all other sodas.

He came home this evening and decided to try the bacon soda. He took a tiny sip, spit it out, made funny faces.

I took a larger drink (might as well give it a good try). Initially thought it wasn't too bad, nice choco taste. Sweet.

The after taste, though, ugh. Really tastes like bacon, and it's yucky.

SIGS does periodic soda tastings, they have a huge selection of off-the-wall sodas. Can't say I'd recommend you buy a bottle, but I'm sure he'd open a bottle if you went for a tasting.
