I really wish people would watch out for bikes all the time, a buddy of my husband was hit Tuesday night and is in ICU, he may lose his leg. Someone blew a stop sign and plowed right into him. Shame.

I'm not familiar with the newer bicycles. Are you referring maybe to a "Presta valve" which is very thin and delicate? I never liked those.

Those have actually been around a long time on "serious road bikes" because it makes a smaller hole in the rim the rim is stronger and thinner rims and tires can be used.

I did, on 235 just north of Park Hall Road, south of Wickshire. Saw a guy wearing what appeared to be a bathrobe and a firemans hat......
