This Saturday and Sunday, June 24-25 will be the 2nd annual Mighty Mo/Hot Shoppes reunion, put on by the folks from Antietam Gallery, Sharpsburg, Maryland. In addition to unveiling prints of their new painting, which is the old Hot Shoppes in Wheaton Plaza, there will be classic muscle cars, hot rods, and the main event (at least to me), which are Mighty Mo's (aka Royal Burgers from Jr. Hot Shoppes), fries, onion rings, and Orange Freezes. It's a blast from a Marriott 60s and 70s past, and you'll want to be there to check out old GTOs, Trans Ams, Olds Cutlass 442s, etc. and the retro food we all remember. I plan to be there myself from around noon to two or so on Saturday and will be dressed in my Grit finest (Chucks, Banlon, Macks, and slicked back hair). Come on out and see what a 48-year old Grit looks like while chomping down on a messy, gooey-good Mighty Mo, while washing it down with an Orange Freeze. Hope to see you there!

The Antietam Gallery's address is here and you can get the driving directions by putting in their address to the mapping program/site of your choice:

Cool another 48 year old grit! Went to Wheation High and loved crusing Aspen Hill and the area!
Do you know RoseRed? She graduated from Wheation in '78.

What school? All I know is we drank a lot of Country Club Malt Liquor all from Country Boys! Remember the little cans?

Anyone remember the Mighty MO at Queens Chapel & Ager Roads in Hyattsville? Cool cars, great times, good food and shakes! Kinda like "Happy Days".
