2nd round of Stimulus Checks?

Not a Lurker anymore!
A friend of mine called today...said she either heard on the news, or read in the paper (didnt really pay too much attention to that part) that we may be getting ANOTHER stimulus check. Something about waiting to see if it helped out the economy enough, and if it didnt, they would be sending out a second round of checks. Hmm...anyone else hear this?

I heard a few weeks back that Bush might consider it. I haven't heard that it went into effect yet but we sure can hope!

Considering a lot of people used the first stimulus check to pay off bills...I don't think it went back into the economy, like intended. I PROMISE to use the next one better....:whistle:

All the stimulus checks did was put the country more into debt. It was not thought out in the sense that after they were distributed there was not even a blip on the economic status radar. It was a complete waste of goverment money, but that's what they do best...

The second check was proposed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Don't count on it anytime soon. It doesn't have much support from the rest of congress.

Speaking of Stimulus Checks.... I still have not received mine. how do you actually talk to a person when you call the IRS regarding this issue? I always get a B.S. Message telling me to be patient.

POTUS hasn't proposed it and no bills have been introduced on Capital Hill.
