WTH is going on with gas prices? I thought Russia did something like stop pumping so much and prices were going to rise here. Yesterday it was $3.09 and I didn't feel like going back out. Today is was $3.05. Second time this month, full tank!

Just curious, why would you think Russia has anything to do with gasoline prices?

Because Russia is a member of OPEC+ you stupid bint.
"Even though it isn't an official member of OPEC, Russia has been working with the cartel to set how much oil gets onto the market since the middle of last decade."

Something I heard in passing on the news that went something like this article: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/gas-prices-saudi-arabia-russia-extend-oil-cuts/
which was followed by a statement about higher gas prices. I wasn't paying all that much attention but I noticed later on that week that prices were steadily climbing. Now they're back down again.
Sadly, you cannot believe anything the mainstream media reports. It's not news, it's infotainment, and most likely meant to steer you in a particular direction of thought.

Anyone that advocates for rape is stoopid at best.
I know it would never happen, but I really wish sometimes that the forum could just have a civilized conversation w/o resorting to calling each other names. There are so many things I would really like to understand about points of view that are opposite of mine.

I think it was probably true that the two countries had reached an agreement - heard that on several different news stations. Gas prices MAY rise was probably the operative word because that could also mean that they may not rise. News does tend to go to the worst scenario.

I suppose the statement gas prices may or may not rise does not have as much pizzazz as gas prices may rise.

Feel free to ask me why I take the positions I do at any time, and I will try to answer you as best I can. I will explain my position without name calling or prejudice. You may not agree but that's okay too. Your opinion is yours and I respect that, as long as you respect mine.:yay:

Gas was 20 cents higher in Mechanicsville on Thursday than in Lexington Park. Go figure.

There is a thing called "Petro Dollars". It is unbelievably complicated to follow but that's the point.

Thank you I'll keep that in mind and I really do appreciate your politeness in your previous question.

Yeah. Don't even think I'll look it up, I guess I should just revel in $3.05 a gallon until it goes back up to $3.59 a gallon. That I understand.
