Jack Russells RULE!
I stumbled across this 3-ingredient pasta sauce on a foodie blog. I was skeptical at first. Tried it. One word. AWESOME. Needless to say, after one taste, and the ease of this recipe, I had to experiment with different kinds of tomatoes/onions/butter combinations (canned/fresh/vidalia/regular/unsalted/salated, etc)
See the recipe link, it is important NOT to add anything else while it's cooking. Seasonings are added to taste once you plate your pasta.
After a week (hey this sauce is so tasty you can eat it right out of the pot!), the tastiest version I came up with was to use a jar of San Marzano (mmm) tomatoes, unsalted butter, and 1/2 plain, cheap white onion (obviously removed with slotted spoon per recipe).
Once it was finished, I topped the finished sauce/pasta with a bit of shredded fresh basil from my garden and slivers of REAL Parm/Regg. Heavenly!
3 simple ingredients (canned or fresh tomatoes), butter, 1/2 onion. Time to cook is 45 minutes, and HEAVEN! See link below.
