Two Arrests in Burglaries to Motor Vehicles in Mechanicsville

Between December 4th and December 8th of 2015, the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office took numerous reports of burglaries to motor vehicles in the Mechanicsville area of St. Mary's County, Maryland. As the investigation continued, two suspects were developed by patrol officers. Those suspects were identified as Hannah Sue Bolen, age 19, of Leonardtown and Saeed Akhil Handon, age 20, of Leonardtown.

Handon was located at a residence in Leonardtown, St. Mary's County, Maryland and was placed under arrest by patrol officers from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office pursuant to an arrest warrant obtained as a result of the investigation. Patrol officers then coordinated with detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and a search warrant was obtained and executed at the same residence in Leonardtown, St. Mary's County, Maryland. Numerous items of evidence related to the series of burglaries to motor vehicles were recovered by detectives and Crime Lab Technicians during the execution of the search warrant.

Handon was arrested, served the open warrant, and charged as follows:

(5) counts of Rogue and Vagabond

(4) counts of Theft Under $1,000

(2) count of Theft Under $100

(1) count of Theft Scheme - Less Than $1,000

(1) count of Theft Scheme - $1k to $10k

Bolen was also arrested and charged as follows:

(5) counts of Rogue and Vagabond

(1) count of Theft - $1k to Under $10k

(4) counts of Theft - Less $1,000 Value

(1) count of Theft Scheme - $1k to $10k

The investigation is ongoing, and the case is being reviewed with the State's Attorney's Office regarding other related investigations and pending charges.
