Another good example of neighbors helping neighbors... :)

On September 14, 2016 the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and EMS along with several mutual aid companies were dispatched for a single family house fire located on Cobb Island, Maryland. When units arrived they found a home filled with thick black smoke throughout. The family occupying the residence was renting from the home owner. The family consists of 3 Adults and 5 Children varying in age from 3 years of age to 14 years of age. The family lost all of their possessions in this tragic event due to damage from the smoke and fire. Luckily no one was hurt or injured from the fire.

I have personally talked with the family and they are devastated about what happened and the items they lost. Currently the family is looking for a new place to rent that is capable of housing 3 Adults and 5 Children.

The Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department is reaching out to our surrounding community and businesses looking for any donations for the family. The family is in the need of clothes, shoes, household items, furniture, bedding, etc. The Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department will be the collection site for all items in new/good usable condition.
