Michael Moore backs up John Lewis with 6 reasons Trump is an ‘illegitimate president’

Ubi bene ibi patria
" Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore said Saturday that he did not believe Donald Trump would be a “legitimate” president.

In a Facebook post, Moore outlined six reasons that he agreed with Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), who a day before had said he didn’t “see the president-elect as a legitimate president.”

Moore first noted that Trump’s opponent, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, had won the popular vote.

“Nothing, including an arcane, racist section of the constitution, can change the fact that 3 million more Americans voted for Hillary than for Trump. It’s either a democracy or it isn’t. If he had won by 3 million, I would sadly admit that Trump is the President the American people wanted. But that’s not what happened.”

Moore then questioned Trump’s mental stability, pointing out his behavior on the social media site Twitter.

“He is not well and needs help. He has a number of serious mental disorders that make him unfit to hold office — and they are on display every day in one cringe-worthy tweet after another. He is a full-blown malignant narcissist. He displays sociopathic tendencies. He will say one thing and 30 seconds later say the opposite. He is disconnected from the truth. And he has a stunning lack of human empathy. These behaviors make him a truly dangerous occupant of the Oval Office.”

Thirdly, Moore said that the Russian government had interfered in the 2016 presidential race. "

Not, and if he needs that explained then he really isn't intelligent enough to have an opinion.

Why would anyone pay attention to this rich idiot Michael Moore.
To mention his name in a serious conversation is proof of the idiocy of the fool that mentioned him.

You can't say that because you will be accused of being a racist. :killingme: The hypocrisy of it all is mind bending, and it seems there will be no end to it. Go, Trump, and go America! :patriot:

If Michael Moore is backing up John Lewis, I hope he is wearing a condom because Lewis is getting it up the butt.

It’s either a democracy or it isn’t.

Um, yeah, it isn't. It's a representative republic, NOT a pure democracy.

These people are making me crazy. Now they want to rewrite our freaking Constitution because their candidate lost. People like Moore are what creates these mentally ill freaks that post their nonsense all over social media - they're brainless, and this is where they get that crap.

In the presidential election process there is no such thing. There simply is not. Were that the rules, both sides would have played the game very differently and, even if you give credence to Moore's (and others) illogical reasoning, it just begins an infinite regression; Trump won more votes in Texas. Trump won more votes in parts of California. Trump won more votes in Michigan. A Hillary fan would say "that's not how it works!"

To each contention, as you regress the argument, you simply go back and forth between one side or the other pointing out the rules depending.

In the mean time, leading Democrats, such as Pelosi and others, are not being held accountable and the party is only deligitmizing itself while elevating Trump among people in the middle who may be starting to think he WAS the sane choice.

In any event, why work on winning next time when you can EXTRA lose the last one? Carry on. :buddies:

It's not good that an icon, like Lewis, is willing to become what he claims to oppose.

John Lewis isn't an icon, whatever that even means. The media has now decided to start calling him an "icon" and "hero" to support their position that Trump is an evil horrible person who dared to say anything back to Saint John the Negro.

Anyone who calls Lewis a "hero" or an "icon" is a bot who has no independent thought and merely pukes up whatever talking points and buzzwords their media handlers have programmed into them. Ask Julian Bond if he thinks John Lewis is a hero or an icon.

And that's what's so annoying... People like Lewis don't understand this? He understands it perfectly, and continually spout lies knowing there are lots of people that will just nod in agreement.

Of course he understands! Lewis is in a crappy place. His party, under Obama, has WIPED out the party, very nearly. There is no viable leaders. No one of credibility so, it falls to elders to pull the bacon out of the fire, to sacrifice for the party. Or at least try.

This has nothing to do with Lewis but helps illustrate how deeply wounded, self inflicted in my view, the D's are; https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jan/09/barack-obama-legacy-presidency

You don't have to like West to agree he is an actual lefty, a real radical, to be compelled to see just how bad off the D's are. They're not a wounded animal. It's worse. Unless and until some new leaders come along, Obama is going to continue to self destruction.

By any reasonable measure John Lewis is an icon of the left. He just is. That doesn't mean anyone else is obligated to revere him. The point is, THEY do. Liberals do. Progressives do.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lewis_(Georgia_politician)

He was not an "icon" nor was he even considered....until he opened his fat politician mouth and proclaimed Trump "illegitimate". NOW he is the toast of the town. I'll bet you Nancy Pelosi didn't even know his name until this fluffle. Michael Moore didn't even know John Lewis existed before this.

If John Lewis is such a hero and icon and wonderful civil rights leader, he sucks at his job. He's been on it since the 60s - what's the freaking problem? His own constituents are going further and further into the gutter. Atlanta has more crime, more poverty, more drugs, more everything negative than they did before John Lewis became their Congressman. So what exactly is this guy doing besides running his asinine mouth and raking in the buckage? By any reasonable reckoning he has accomplished exactly nothing during his time in office.

Oh snap - if Michael Moore is now saying it, that adds a fresh layer of objectivity to the issue* completely changes my mind about things!

*And by "issue", I mean "non-issue".
