Trump denies immigration restriction caused airport chaos

More from our new fact free "Administration":

In an interview Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America," Trump aide Kellyanne Conway wrongly claimed that the 2011 policy "was never covered in the press." She also falsely described it as Obama's own "ban" on refugees.

The 2011 policy was reported by several media outlets, including The Associated Press. Unlike Trump's order that imposed a 90-day ban on people from seven Muslim-majority countries, the Obama policy applied only to Iraqi refugees and never specifically prohibited entry.

And from our illustrious President

"Big problems at airports were caused by Delta computer outage, protesters and the tears of Senator Schumer," Trump tweeted.

He was referring to a Delta systems outage Sunday night that led to departure delays and cancellations of at least 150 flights. However, the chaos started Saturday as protesters packed some of the country's major airports to demonstrate against the executive order.

I suppose the real news will be made when Mr. Trump or Ms. Conway say something that is actually truthful.

What else do we have from this report...oh yes...there is this:

Trump enters his second week in office amid a global backlash to his policies. European Union officials denounced his immigration order as a dangerous embrace of isolationism and inequality, while the international aid group Doctors Without Borders accused Trump of keeping people "trapped in war zones, directly endangering their lives."

That just doesn't fit the narrative of "rioters", "bawlers" and "bots" now does it?

In Iraq, two lawmakers said the Iraqi parliament has approved a "reciprocity measure" restricting the entry of Americans into Iraq.

Gee, retaliatory action by other govts. Now who would have thought THAT would happen? Anyone with any experience in government maybe?

More? Sure...why not...

Trump has defended his order by saying it's not a "Muslim ban."

A number of U.S. diplomats prepared a memo criticizing the temporary travel ban.

In a "dissent cable," being drafted for State Department leadership, the diplomats say the ban will not make the U.S. safe, runs counter to American values and will fuel anti-American sentiment around the world. They say the ban won't produce a drop in terror attacks in the U.S., but instead "a drop in international good will toward Americans."

U.S. officials say several hundred diplomats have signed on.

But...but...a ban will make us safer!! How can't our enemies see that?!?!?!?

And this one...

There appeared to be widespread confusion among authorities tasked with carrying out the order and how it would be applied to certain groups, such as U.S. legal permanent residents.

How can that be...our illustrious President and TV game show host said the ban was working beautifully!

Um, TJ, that sounds like the writer was agreeing with Trump. Where's your "fact free" observation?

Have you ever thought that these EU officials could simply take the refugees instead of us? I mean, if they are "trapped", that means that they can't go ANYWHERE. If that's true, they can't go to any of the EU countries. If they can go to the EU countries, they're not trapped, and the problem is solved.

How many of those US officials are Sec State or President - you know, the people that actually establish what is and is not American policy?

Oh my goodness - we can't go to Iraq for vacation!!!! Both people that impacts I'm sure will be very upset!!!!

It certainly was poorly implemented. Not nearly as poorly as the ACA, but it's much smaller so it should be less ####ed up. And, it is. But, it was still poorly implemented. You are accurate on this one.

Chaos was caused by the protestors. 109 detained doesn't create Chaos. Hell you wouldn't even know unless you were told to protest!

That's the thing. Of course, there would be a few that are inconvenienced when an EO ban is put in place, but it is being sorted out, and the legit people will be let in. There is no convenient time for something like this to happen. I just am disgusted that people ignore that Obama and other prezs have done the same thing. Rage on msm and libprog protesters. Y'all are wasting y'all's time. Trump ain't messin' around, y'all! :killingme:
