Will SCOTUS hear Peruta?

For those who may not remember, Peruta v. California is a case where San Diego County, CA is running a concealed carry permit scheme similar to other liberal states such as Maryland where you need to show "good cause" in order to get a permit and self defense is not considered good cause.

A 11-judge panel upheld the "good cause" requirement last year, so a few months ago, Mr. Peruta asked SCOTUS to hear the case.

As of now, the case is scheduled to be considered in private this Friday, April 28.

We'll see what happens, but I'm not very optimistic. Though, in 2012, the 7CA overturned Illinois' similar "ban" on concealed carry in Moore V. Madigan.
