Sally Yates was the real blackmailer

Just days after the inauguration, moreover, Yates used those same NSA transcripts to try to get Flynn fired, by warning the White House that he was “vulnerable” to Russian extortion.

Despite her warnings, Flynn remained in his position for 18 more days (a gap Democrats say is as scandalous as “the 18-minute gap in the Nixon tapes”). He was only forced to resign after somebody from the Obama administration illegally leaked the intercepts to the Washington Post and created a political embarrassment for President Trump.

Unlike the Obama officials who disclosed highly classified information, Flynn committed no crime.

Though he misinformed Vice President Mike Pence about the nature of his conversation with the Russian ambassador (the two did, in fact, discuss the sanctions Obama belatedly and conveniently slapped on Russia after the election), he did not make false statements to the FBI. And Flynn made no promises that the sanctions would be removed. The FBI declined to press charges.

Yates knew what the FBI knew when she raced over to the White House on Jan. 26 to warn Trump’s general counsel that Flynn was “compromised.” She also knew that the Obama administration had just weeks earlier renewed Flynn’s national security clearance at the highest levels. And that the intelligence community had “no evidence,” as Obama’s intelligence czar just reconfirmed, that Flynn “colluded” with Moscow.

Flynn was a mess and Trump would have had to fire him. Lets assume by contacting the Russians in December about Obama's sanctions, Flynn did not commit a crime. It now appears that by leaving off the payments he received from a Russian company in 2015 off his security clearance application in 2016 he probably did commit a crime. Trump hired Flynn because Flynn advocated hard for Trump and was loyal to Trump during his worst moments during the campaign, but the truth is he was a disaster waiting to happen on multiple fronts. If Trump wanted to reward Flynn he should have said, look I want to give you a significant position, but it cannot be the National Security Advisor position because that is too high profile and you have too much baggage.

So - fraud?

It might help if you paid attention. You are so far behind it isn't even funny.

Look up Mr. Flynn's foreign agent problems. Look up his problems relating to taking money from a foreign govt. Do some research on recent news...preferably from some sources other than right wing propaganda sites. Look at facts...not the sh!t generally posted on here.

Catch up to the rest of us "establishment elites"....

No. He hasn't. So I'm not behind.

If you are fired from your job for violating company policy - it doesn't mean you embezzled the retirement fund, stole equipment or burned down the building. You can lose your job for something as inconsequential as just being a disagreeable #######. If you get fired for calling your boss a dick with ears, it's not a *crime*. It's stupid, but running afoul of the company rules doesn't mean you're a criminal.

I haven't seen where he is guilty or charged with A CRIME.

you guys do know what an ongoing investigation is dont you? Flynn is not off the hot seat yet.

But back to the OP. Sally yates was doing her job, not blackmailing anyone. She adivsed the schizophrenic in cheif that he should can the guy because of his issues. Trump refused and fired her for her troubles. then he ended up having to fire the guy anyway because he was so effed up he couldn't be trusted to be the NSA. None of that is Yates blackmailing trump.

Apparently you don't, however. In investigation has no value unless and until an indictment is obtained for the "crime" for which the investigation was chartered. The mere fact an investigation is ongoing means only that money and assets are being consumed doing "something."
