Frozen Water Pipes

My neighbor had water pipe freeze and break under his house last night. Word of advise to help prevent busted pipes in cold temps is to open the doors under your kitchen sink at night and leave the faucet on a slow drip. Especially important if you have a crawl space under your house, instead of a full basement.

That explains it, the whole vent thing for a crawlspace is a bad idea. In the summer warm humid air gets into a cool area and condensation occurs so those vents should always be covered with styrofoam.
