With Iran Aflame, Feminists Remain Silent, Former Obama Aides Urge Trump To 'Be Quiet'

Since the protest broke out last month, we've heard not a peep from the women who gathered for the anti-Trump #womensmarch, who wore "pussy hats" to protest the so-called sexist president. Not even after an Iranian woman who bravely waved her hijab in Tehran was reportedly detained. With her required head cover tied to a stick like a battle flag, the unknown woman stood at a busy intersection and waved the cloth in front of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

She's now the face of the new uprising -- yet no one knows where she is. Disappeared.

In a bizarre twist, critics of President Trump and former aides to Barack Obama -- who handed billions to the despotic rulers in Iran and allowed then to continue work developing nuclear weapons -- are urging Trump to remain quiet (they aren't president, he is!). Trump isn't -- quite the contrary -- but they insist.

I don't think all leftists want to kiss all of the dictators' asses. In this case, aides to a specific president (the one who supported The Muslim Brotherhood, but did not support the last secular uprising in Iran) may have a very different agenda than "America First", especially in the case of countries like this.

Recall, in 2009, it was June 13 that protesters took to the streets, saying the "elections" held were filled with nothing but egregious falsehoods. By June 15, Moussavi supporters were holding the country's largest protests since the 1979 revolution.

Our president (at the time) gave the scathing announcement of it being "up to Iranians to make decisions about who Iran's leaders will be," adding that "we respect Iranian sovereignty and want to avoid the United States being the issue inside of Iran."

Whew, I'm sure that rocked Ahmadinejad to his core, scaring the hell out of him. Or, maybe not.

Fortunately, just 10 days after it started, Obama made his second (yes, TWO whole statements) statement about what was going on. "The United States and the international community have been appalled and outraged by the threats, beatings and imprisonments of the last few days," the president said, adding that he strongly condemns "these unjust actions."

Now, you know for sure he was pretty rough on them when he goes that far.

Asked why he would not spell out potential consequences for Iran over its behavior, the president replied, "Because I think that we don't know yet how this thing is going to play out."

That was the "leadership" shown then. So, that's what these aides believe "leadership" on an issue like this looks like.

There is no such thing as an ex Obama flunky. They still operate to the whims of his highness.
They need to be removed from an contact with sane people.

Utter bullchit.

"The US" has a long history of supporting dictators and authoritarian regimes, at least until they piss us off for some reason or another. Left, right, democrat, republican. We're actively supporting at least 30 right now, many for years and years, administration after administration.

What a tiny binary world you live in.

Fully informed voter, right?
