I'm in the process of extending my fireplace hearth to accommodate a new pellet stove that I just installed. I've currently built a 2x10 extension and I'm using stone veneer for the front. However I need a stone topping for the top. I'm looking at 126" in length and roughly 30" in width. I've looked at lowes, HD, Ace but all they seem to have is "concrete based" patio stones. I'm looking for some nice natural stone that I can "mortar" to the surface to finish it off.
