How Conservatives Are Being Destroyed by Facebook, Twitter and Google Without Even Realizing It

I don't like that there's no proffered solution, but perhaps that's the point: maybe there is none.

You see, what Facebook giveth, Facebook can take away. So, why would Facebook want to kill extremely successful Facebook pages that its users enjoyed?

One of the reasons goes back to something I told multiple reporters during the 2016 election. I believe that all of the thriving right wing Facebook pages activated large numbers of what I like to think of as “instinctive conservatives.” You know, the sort of people who love God, guns and America, but who don’t follow politics day to day, read National Review or consume any of Milton Friedman’s books. From what I could see on Facebook, that group of people LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Donald Trump and I believe they were responsible for getting him the GOP nomination and probably even got him over the hump in states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. I think the liberals that run Facebook came to that same conclusion.

This is a tried and true Leftist tactic: pretend to be one thing to suck in fans; then, once your base is entrenched, switch it up to your real goal. This method has been used successfully for thousands of years, across many different platforms. That's how Socialism starts: "Here, have some free stuff..." And then you find out later that that free stuff had an enormously high price tag.

What exactly is "the process to shut down a website"? There is not process...you just turn it off.

Doesn't look like anyone is sharing the stories from this website...most have a zero next to "share" almost all have zero next to the comment button.

No...this isn't about some vast left wing social media conspiracy...the site is a ####hole of a business and the advertisers are gone.

(Besides...if this guy really was a true American...he would start his own blog...his own "conservative facebook"...lord you two are gullible.)

You don't have to participate in any of that if you don't want to. You can simply keep your friend list to people you actually know, block out those you don't want to deal with, and only see stuff in your feed that you want to see. Clickbait is all over the internet, on almost any site you visit. That is not exclusive to Facebook.

I do keep my Friends list very small and i ignore a lot of the things that bother me, but sometimes the clickbait is appealing (like they mean it to be) and interesting, but most time I get into about 3 clicks get disgusted and hit the X. Then I go to Duck Duck Go and get it without the clicks.
