How many of you think fantasy is UnAmerican and unChristian?

Yep, them ol polytheists, sneaking around Gods back by hiding in games. Jeebus. It's pretend. All of it. And if you think the pretend Gods are a threat to your god, maybe that says more about how you feel about the strength of your God.
Sexist? Maybe a while back, but then what wasnt? Last few fantasy books I've read, like maybe the last 10-15, none were sexist, nor un American. Non Christian? Sure, non Muslim, and non Buddhist to. They had made up religions, because they take place in MADE UP PLACES filled with MADE UP PEOPLE!!!!! Major strong characters, male female, and all sorts in between.

having grown up on the classics Asimov, Heinlein, DelRay, Clarke .... etc
[yep sci fi in the 1950s / 60's / 70's was 'sexist' but so were the times ....
I've given up on most modern fantasy and SciFi .... it is politically correct laden porn fests full of queer characters for the sake of being queer
I played DnD in the late 70's early 80's and somehow managed to escape worshiping the Devil
.... with all the Porn available, RPG's and Video Games hardly a blip on what might influence or distract your children from God.
ironically I was introduced to Dungeons and Dragons by a Franciscan Brother at a Summer Camp in 1978

yeah true flee from evil - the issue is playing games evil, are children influenced by video games
some say yes, others say no
both of my sons grew up playing 'violent' video games neither has turned into murder psychopaths
