So..about that wall

For those who don't understand and now claim that our incompetent President never made specific references to what the wall would be:

That is why we support building a wall along our southern border and protecting all ports of entry. The border wall must cover the entirety of the southern border and must be sufficient to stop both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Those are the sentences in the 2016 GOP platform that was approved at the Republican National Convention.

Now for those who can't understand English:

* "Wall" does not mean fence. "Wall" does not mean electronic measures. "Wall" does not mean personnel.

* "MUST cover the ENTIRETY of the southern border" means exactly that. There are no exclusions for mountains or rivers. There are no caveats for lightly travelled areas. It clearly states what the candidate expressed during his rallies.

Everyone with a brain (sorry for your luck there, sweetie) has realized all along that "wall" is nice simple all-encompassing term for the combination of structures, sensors, personnel and means of conveyance (trucks, ATVs, boats, helicopters..) that will make up, in total, a secure border.

:patonhead: Maybe you'll "get it" once it's all finished.

Anyone who watched Trump from the campaign on knows he said wall. He bounced around and mentioned a fence here and there and also bounced around on how Mexico would pay for the wall (they won't) , but now that Kelly came out and said Trump was uninformed....

The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it. Parts will be, of necessity, see through and it was never intended to be built in areas where there is natural protection such as mountains, wastelands or tough rivers or water.....

....The Wall will be paid for, directly or indirectly, or through longer term reimbursement, by Mexico, which has a ridiculous $71 billion dollar trade surplus with the U.S. The $20 billion dollar Wall is “peanuts” compared to what Mexico makes from the U.S. NAFTA is a bad joke!
