Oh these are gonna make poor Gilligan's head hurt...he must have taken a course in economics somewhere...he acts like he knows something. (of course every time he types, he proves otherwise...but that is what happens when your source is Redstate and Ace of Spades)

TRUMP: “We’re making incredible progress. The women’s unemployment rate hit the lowest level that it’s been in 17 years. Well, that’s something. And women in the workforce reached a record high. ... That’s really terrific, and especially since it’s on my watch.” — at women’s event Tuesday.

THE FACTS: Again — yes, but. The 4 percent jobless rate for women is at a 17-year low, just as it is for the overall population. But the labor force participation rate by women is lower today than in 2000. The proportion of women in the workforce is not at a record high.

Wasn't the labor force participation rate one of your primary b!tches under Obama? it hasn't moved under Trump. Oh but that doesn't matter now, right?

TRUMP: “Our country is doing very well. Economically, we’ve never had anything like it.” — from Oval Office on Tuesday.

THE FACTS: Never say never. The U.S. economy had better employment stats during the 2000 tech boom, just for one example. It’s enjoyed stock market surges before. It’s had blazing, double-digit annual growth, a far cry from the 3.2 percent achieved during the second and third quarters of 2017. That was the best six-month pace since 2014 — hardly the best ever.

The economy added about 170,000 new jobs a month during Trump’s first year. That was slightly below the average of 185,000 in Obama’s last year.

Vrai keeps pointing out the booming economy and points to jobs...but job growth was slower last year than the previous years. The unemployment rate is good, but it's been on this trajectory for 7 years. In fact, the lower number is actually not great. Why? Because we aren't pulling workers back into the labor force like we should be. Go back to the point about the labor force participation rate.

All the ignorati hate immigrants because they "take American jobs"...yet what all the numbers about employment prove is that there are plenty of open jobs (roughly 6 million), the economy is creating a decent number of new jobs every month but Americans aren't coming off the couch to claim the job that are there.

Why don't you get one of those 6 million jobs. Maybe it would help you financially and give you something else to do besides sitting home and hating Trump 24/7
It might even help with the dementia.

BO has made it so comfortable for a lot of people to stay out of the workforce, it's really not something you should be proud of.

Good point. We need to go over the SS disabilities and find which ones are real and continue drug testing the welfare recipients.

When are you going to post anything that is statistically viable versus opinion? Your "facts" have more holes than a decent swiss cheese and hold more hot air than the largest balloon.

Anyone with rudimentary cognition can see that's a biased piece. For one thing, they nitpick the dumbest things - what president doesn't toot their own horn? I don't recall AP getting all bent when Obama did it. I don't recall them having a fit when Bill Clinton was confused at what the meaning of "is" is.

Regarding several of Trump's claims: "Again — yes, but...." They admit that what Trump said is true, but still want to argue.

Them disputing the diagnosis of an actual doctor who has actually examined Trump, then armchair diagnosing him, is another giveaway.

In fact, that's one of the things driving me crazy with these psychos. TV "doctors" who don't even know Trump and political pundits who don't know #### about anything are insisting that they know more about the President's health than the esteemed doctor who actually, you know, examined him.

Yes, the labor participation rate was an issue under Obama and remains an issue under Trump.

It's interesting to note that the unemployment rate is not really your measure now that female and black unemployment are at historical lows.

As for immigrants, no one is worried about them. The stated concerns are with respect to illegal aliens.
