This was supposed to be “Infrastructure Week” for U.S. President Donald Trump, a time to unveil a long-promised plan to create jobs by revitalizing America’s roads and bridges.
Actually, this was the second such "infrastructure week". There was another one last late last spring that had the same result; our incompetent President stepping all over his Johnson and all over his supposed message.
Instead, the White House careened from crisis to crisis, with Trump’s chief of staff fighting for his job, a mass shooting at a school in Florida, a fierce immigration battle on Capitol Hill and a report that a former Playboy model had an affair with Trump over a decade ago.
It was capped by news that the office of U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller had charged 13 Russians and three Russian companies with conducting an operation aimed at sowing political divisions and undermining democracy in the United States, including by meddling in the 2016 presidential election campaign.
Trump, the supposed dealmaker and business manager superb runs the most dysfunctional Administration since at least Carter. Looking over the list of stuff from this week.
Gen. Kelly's issues are self inflicted.
Trump's messaging after the latest school shooting was a masterful attempt to ignore his own actions...he blames mental health for the event, yet ignores the fact that he rescinded the attempts by the previous administration to keep firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill.
The immigration mess is solely of his making. It began with his lying and inflammatory announcement that he was running for President...continued thru the entire campaign...thru the Muslim ban fiasco (still ongoing)...to his rescinding of the DACA EO (with absolutely no plan or idea of what to do afterwards)...thru the 1st govt shutdown when no one knew what the hell the President was for or would sign...to today...when we still don't know what this "great negotiator" will accept and sign. What he says he wants one day, he says he will veto the next.
Another affair hitting the tabloids...irrelevant and insignificant with respect to the obvious managerial incompetency of our President...but it does serve as further proof of his poor judgment and the extent to which his morals and the morals of his so called base are mutually exclusive.
To the Mueller investigation....there would not be a Mueller investigation if our incompetent President hadn't fired James Comey...and yet the ignorati will claim that Trump is playing 3 or 4 dimensional chess...when all the available evidence strongly suggests that Trump couldn't beat a 5 yr old at checkers.
Can't wait to see what next week brings!
