Be interesting to see what would happen if a "New white bookstore opened in Southeast D.C." or anywhere else, for that matter. I think we already know.

I think it makes perfect sense for people to open up businesses in their neighborhoods. Better to patronize a store owned by people you know from the block. Usually the only people willing to take a chance opening an urban store are Koreans. The locals will shop there but openly complain about them.

Nowadays with bookstore chains going belly up, I am not sure I would want to open ANY kind of bookstore.

I am not sure of that, but I am pretty sure there won't be much shoplifting, if any of the books are educational.
