Trump to meet with Kim Jong Un

Imagine this: Trump successfully achieves denuclearization in NORK. That would truly be Nobel Prize worthy -- and unlike Obama would have actually earned it.

I've a strange feeling it won't end that way, but just imagine the Twitter-storm!

Chung said that in recent talks with South Korea, Kim Jong Un "expressed eagerness to meet President Trump as soon as possible."

A senior administration official said the sentiments from Kim were conveyed verbally to Trump during a briefing in the Oval Office at the White House on Thursday, denying the existence of a physical letter from the South Korean envoy to the president, which was reported earlier.

The White House confirmed that Trump would accept Kim's invitation to meet, but a senior administration official told reporters on a call after the announcement that "at this point, we're not even talking about negotiations."

No matter how good an outcome comes you can bet the press will make it a bad thing.

OR claim some deal with the Russians. And the Chinese.

Since you obviously aren't paying attention...here is a tip...nothing will occur without the implicit and explicit assistance of the Chinese...oh and the South Koreans...you know the countries our incompetent President is slapping tariffs upon...

The news isn't leading off with talk of pornstar lawsuits this morning or tampering with witnesses or the departure of the chief economic advisor or the legislative and worldwide backlash over the tariffs...a successful deflection!

Really? What tipped you off?

All I did was comment that IF something good should happen, the press will still give him crap over it.

Here's one for you. What will you think if something DOES happen - and Trump drops the tariffs on China and South Korea?

Same thing - you'll come up with some stupid ass reason why it's no good.

It's certainly a big deal, and should be applauded for this opportunity. Regardless of what comes out of the meeting, the meeting itself is a big deal.

Hopefully Trump has some advisors/cabinet members left to help guide him through it successfully.

Couldn't resist, could you?

Get help.

Let me point out that Trump has apparently been dealing with NK just fine - his way, not the old way of the global elite whose ineffective methods got us into this situation in the first place.

Not my fault the man who knows how to hire the best of the best has an administration with high a turnover rate.

Let me point out that this is the same man that didn't even know who he was talking to.
While discussing North Korea on Saturday, Trump said "they, by the way, called up a couple of days ago. 'We would like to talk.' And I said, 'So would we, but you have to de-nuke, you have to de-nuke.'" In reality, the call on March 1 was with Moon, the official told South Korea's Yonhap News Agency. "President Trump did not have a call with the North Koreans," the official confirmed.

Yeah, I'm sure Trump had a call with a foreign leader and didn't even know who he was talking to. Like, he's sitting there chatting away, "Oh, yeah, Li'l Rocket Man, we're all about that. Yep, Prez Kim, I agree. Uh huh, yep...how's your sister, btw?" And President Moon says, "Um, Donald, this is Jae-In...."

If you’d watch other news besides CNN and MSNBC you would find out there are other things going on in the world besides old pornstars......just sayin’

Cool story, but not the story I posted. Try reading again.

Or maybe you could try reading the story you posted. Tell me what you think it says.

YOU are the one who flat out said Trump didn't know who he was talking to:

So now you are just making stuff up?

It clearly says he hadn't previously talked to North Korea directly despite believing he had.

It’s tempting to assume the president will be briefed extensively by his diplomatic team ahead of the talks, but (1) Trump has an unfortunate habit of ignoring everything his staff tells him, and (2) what diplomatic team?"

Lol. That indeed sums it up.

A public relations coup for Kim Jong-un. Yet another national embarrassment for the United States.

I thought it was pretty clear, but if you want me to break out the Magic School Bus to help, I can.

Trump says NK called and they spoke about nukes. Officials confirmed he's got no idea WTF he was talking about and he spoke with SK. Trump's words, not mine.
