The Stormy Storm

The Stormy Daniels story was being discussed on WMAL this morning. Apparently CNN was providing endless coverage of the 'scandal'.

The discussion was around how the Christian right can support a man who not only had sex with a porn star, but also had an affair on his wife with this porn star. The condemnation of the Christian right's hypocrisy was strong with them. How dare they compromise their beliefs by supporting this sinner and adulterer! Conservative Christians need to not only stop supporting candidate that engage in such deplorable behavior, but condemn it in the strongest of terms. This will prove they are the true Christians they claim they are.

I don't know about you folks, but I didn't go to the polls with the intentions of eliminating those who don't follow the same level of faith I follow. I did, however, go to the polls making my choice as to who might better protect my right to practice my faith at the level I desire. I went to the polls realizing Trump is a very flawed person - VERY FLAWED. But so am I. Just like I don't vote for a person just because they happen to like the same music as I do. I just want that person to protect my right to listen to that music.

He's the rub where you people on the left become the worst of hypocrites. While you're condemning the religious right for compromising their beliefs by supporting a flawed president, for having sex with a porn star, you're demanding we compromise our beliefs by accepting things like abortion, gay marriage, and transgenderism.

And here's something else to consider... Trump was a democrat when he had this alleged sex with Stormy.

I couldn't possible care less about the morals or ethics involved. More power to him, get all the stank on the hang-low you possibly can and take it to the next plane when you shuffle off this mortal coil.

The issue here is that the President of the United States has signalled that he can be blackmailed, shaken down for cash.

They condemn Trump for having sex with a woman while supporting Hillary who had sex with several men and at least one woman we know about.
Then they call us hypocrites.

Well, he has plenty of his own cash to take care of that. If you think that translates into being blackmailed by the likes of Kim Jong Un or Putin, I think you have a huge misunderstanding of who Trump is.

Well, no. You see... the left hold no moral ground, therefore are immune from the same scrutiny they place on Christians.

No one is demanding that YOU accept things like abortion, gay marriage, and transgenderism. People are only asking that they be allowed to live their own lives, make their own decisions and not be bound by your own beliefs.

He has? You don't say?

I never believe this blackmail crap when it comes to most things political.
EVERYONE in politics is hugely dirty, but somehow they're dealing with it.
Do you believe the Clintons were pure, virtuous and had nothing that someone could blackmail them on?

To me, the blackmail argument with politicians is like threatening blackmail to a drug lord or a mob boss.
It's empty.

A kid was just kicked out out of class for saying there are two genders - something 100% supported by sceince.

(THIS from the presumably anti-science political side).

Capitulation IS demanded from the left. You can't just quietly disagree while people live their own lives.
You must be punished for believing otherwise.

If a Christian rejects any of those life's decisions they are called all sorts of names by the left. A bakery went out of business over it; remember? Remember Kim Davis?

Please don't pretend there isn't a hypocrisy in condemning Christians for failing to condemn Trump, because they believe Christians are compromising their faith, while demanding they compromise their faith by accepting things that fit their thinking.

Unfortunately there is an awful lot of demanded acceptance going on in this country. The gender bathroom fiasco is a recent example. Forced cake baking is another. Federal funding of Planned Parenthood yet another.

She doesn't count. She's like the Muslim fundie who gets a job at a liquor store and then refuses to sell alcohol to customers. If her religious views prevent her from doing her job, she needs to find a different job.

This here is some really funny ####. You have a guy that is on wife # 3 and has been rumored to have slept with anyone and anything. Someone paid off a girl for who knows what, but we think it has something to do with Trump. Now Stormy is demanding to give someone else's money to Trump or she will tell all and you people are beside yourselves waiting for it to rain mud. AND he can be blackmailed :lmao:

I think she does matter, she was enforcing KY laws by denying the licenses, nothing more nothing less. The fact that the split SCOTUS decision unconstitutionally created a law by declaring same-sex marriages legal in their opinion does not make it the law of the land.

Last I checked, the SCOTUS is the final authority on what is and what isn't constitutional thus making it the law of the land. Doesn't matter if it's a split decision or whether or not we agree with that decision. It is the law of the land and Kim Davis was defying that law.

SCOTUS *is* the Constitutional authority in this country. Doesn't matter if you like their decisions or not, they are the ones who decide what is and isn't constitutional, and what they decide *is* the law of the land.

But of course you already know this.

You say that as if it has no impact on other people's lives.... Do you believe one human killing another is only impacting the still-living human? Do you believe that beingforced, legally, to consider same-sex partners as "spouses" for federal benefits or insurance claims, etc., only impacts those two people? Do you believe men dressed as women in female bathrooms only affects those men?

If you do, you are missing the bigger picture.
