The Exhaustion of American Liberalism

Unlike the civil-rights movement of the 1950s and ’60s, when protesters wore their Sunday best and carried themselves with heroic dignity, today’s liberal marches are marked by incoherence and downright lunacy—hats designed to evoke sexual organs, poems that scream in anger yet have no point to make, and an hysterical anti-Americanism.

TLDR: We're over your white guilt bull####.

And a tip:

When you go to a news story and they want you to buy a subscription to read it, close the beg window and reload the page. IMMEDIATELY, before the whole page loads, click the Reader View icon in the right of the address bar. This will give a text version of the story.

Didn't think that "pay wall" strategy through, did they? They'd be better off letting everyone have access to their advertisements for free.

Often you can do print preview and you can get the article text without the paywall pop up. Many sites are getting wise to this trick though.

But stealing isn’t cool.

Of course it is. It’s just stealing that doesn’t cross your personal threshold for an amoral act. Doesn’t make it any less stealing.

Well, if we're going to be pedantic it would be copyright infringement, not theft/stealing. Reading the article without paying doesn't deprive the owner of that article (like stealing a shovel from your neighbor deprives them of a shovel).

The web developers can write in their code to make their pages incompatible with certain browsers.

It's not copyright infringement just to read the story. Starman's having a fake pearl clutch moment - it's not against any law or immoral or anything else to click an icon and read a story in an online newspaper, and he knows that.

I’m quite sure depriving someone of their income for a product they charge a fee for consuming is in fact theft.

Is it something you’ll get sued for or arrested or otherwise bothered by the po-po? Nope.

But it is theft. Make no mistake about it.

If one expects the stuff they consume to be any good, you’re gonna have to pay for it. That goes for music, movies, tv shows, and news.

That’s probably why your sources always suck. You’re not paying for it (except through adverts) and YOU are the product being sold.
