Closings, Cancellations, and Delays for March 22

Charles County Schools: 2 hour delay. All morning prekindergarten classes are canceled tomorrow. The AlphaBest program at all county elementary schools will open at 8 a.m.

St. Mary's County Schools: 2 hour delay. A.M. Pre-Kindergarten and A.M. Head Start students will not have school. However, there will be classes for P.M. Pre-Kindergarten and P.M. Head Start students.

Prince George's County Schools: 2 hour delay. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.
There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center,JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
All field trips will be cancelled.
Food Services will offer breakfast.

Anne Arundel County Schools: 2 hour delay. There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes, and no morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South. Students in full-day pre-kindergarten classes will have class, and should report two hours later than normal.

Calvert County Schools: 2 hour delay

All College of Southern Maryland campuses will open at 10 am on Thursday, March 22.

Charles County Government will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 22 for all non-essential employees. Essential personnel and employees required to maintain operations during inclement weather are to report to work as scheduled.

All St. Mary’s County Administrative Offices will open at 10a.m. Essential personnel should report at their normal time. The weekly Commissioners of St. Mary’s County business meeting, postponed from Tuesday, March 20, will begin at 11 a.m. in Leonardtown.

All Recreation and Parks programs operating in the Public Schools will operate on a two hour delay.

Recreation and Parks facilities will open at 10 a.m.

STS Transit will operate on a normal schedule

The six (6) Convenience Centers and St, Andrews Landfill will open at 10 a.m.

All three Senior Activity Centers (Garvey, Loffler and Northern) will open at 10 a.m. Meals will be served at the centers. Home deliveries of meals will resume.

All St. Mary’s County Library locations (Charlotte Hall, Leonardtown & Lexington Park) will open at 10 a.m.

St. Mary’s County Circuit Courthouse and District Courthouse will open at 10 a.m. with court sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m.


NAS Pax River will operate on a two hour arrival delay /Unscheduled Leave/Telework Status

Calvert County Government offices will open at 10:30 March 22, 2018.
Calvert County Government offices and the circuit and district courts will open at 10:30 a.m. with liberal leave in effect. Employees must contact their supervisors to request liberal leave.

UPDATE: The Appeal Landfill will open ON TIME and all Calvert County convenience centers will open ON TIME.
Calvert County public libraries will open at 10:30 a.m.
County parks and community centers will open at 10:30 a.m. and the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center will open at 10:30 a.m. Chesapeake Hills Golf Course will remain closed.
Transportation services will begin 10:30 a.m.
The Calvert County Health Department offices will open at 10:30 a.m.
County senior centers will open at 10:30 a.m. Meals on Wheels will not be delivered

NAS Pax River, Webster and NRC Solomons will operate under a 2 hour Delayed Arrival/Unscheduled Leave/Telework Status on March 22, 2018

Arc SOMD offices and Transportation Services in Calvert, Charles and St. Marys will be open and operating on a 2 hour delay today 3/22.
