"Dowd, who has urged the President to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller's probe and resist attacking him publicly, resigned as his disagreements with Trump intensified and the President stepped up his attacks on the special counsel. His departure raises questions about the direction of Trump's legal strategy and could signal a more aggressive posture on Trump's part."

CNN seems to be at odds with other media outlets as to the position of Dowd and Trump...

CNN said:
Dowd, who has urged the President to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller's probe...

NYTimes said:
He has also privately insisted he should sit for an interview with the special counsel’s office, even though Mr. Dowd believed it was a bad idea. link
FoxNews said:
Dowd has been at odds with the other attorneys over the possibility of Trump doing an interview with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, sources said. He has recently voiced strong opposition to Trump doing an interview, they said. link
MarketWatch said:
Dowd had called for the end of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian election meddling on Saturday. Trump has insisted he should sit for an interview with Mueller's office, even though Dowd thought it was a bad idea, the Times writes. link
TPM said:
Dowd felt that it was a bad idea for Trump to sit for an in-person interview with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, while Trump pushed for his ability to do so, as the New York Times noted. link

Did anything you morons said in the thread change the fact that Trumps lawyer abandoned him as Mueller gets closer him?

That is, to me, awesome news.

Me too. McMaster wasn't aligned with the Boss on the Iran deal needing to be nixed. As to Dowd I think he stepped on it last week when he said he spoke for Trump when he asked Session to halt the Mueller investigation. You don't claim to speak for the Boss unless the Boss says so.

Resigned vs abandoned.....haven’t seen the word abandoned in any of the news articles.

Fired was probably a more accurate term, if you’re just throwing around words
