So someone looks into Amazon's list of companies and all of a sudden they are called sheep, socialists and haters of capitalism, by the usual brain trust in here that is wrong 9 times out of ten.

There's a part of me that's okay with that. Somebody has to control the world, might as well be Jeff Bezos.

But Sam Spade posted a quote along the lines of, "They may intend to be benevolent rulers, but they intend to rule." I'm not comfortable being ruled, even by Amazon.

A solid read, but:

Given Amazon’s growing share of e-commerce as a whole, and the vast number of independent sellers and producers that now depend on it, applying some form of public utility regulation could make sense.

If that's the case, then I can name at least 20 companies that should be nationalized tomorrow, with Microsoft at the top.

Not really my kind of governance though.

At the same time, the NSA has ungodly sums of money tied up in AWS, so it already is nationalized.
