Hmmm, about the same number of military served between the lists (dropping pundits) with no real focus in the same time frame, etc...

Would you like me to point out the holes... like where are all the dems who haven't served? Why is it taken to a major point to spell out what jobs some of the Reps held but not mention some of the non-combat roles some of the dems held? A list of Rep pundits but no list of all those Dem pundits...
Very one sided to paint a picture without noticing the obvious discrepancies.

John Wayne????????

What about Bugala, Combs, or "The Rajun Cajun?"

Lastly, wasn't it the Democrats who made the case (ad nauseum) that being in the military didn't mean diddly when it came to managing the military during the Clinton era?

and the point to this list is???

Isn't it obvious?

Democrats are all honorable men and women who serve in the U.S. military and are heros and champions.

Republicans are all yellow-bellied anti-war, anti-military cowards.

At least that what this blanket generalization is supposed to imply. Right, Sparx?

(I await patiently for your smartass dodge or for you to completely ignore this).

Yeah, I served. US Navy 81-85. Submarine tender in Groton CT.

As long as I keep getting WAY more views to these post than negative replies I figure I'm making an impact no matter what you all think about it.
As Martha say's, IT'S A GOOD THING.

A sub tender in Groton? What kind of pansie wimp are you! During that time I was flying combat missions off of Lebanon and Syria! I was crossing Libya's "Line of Death" and dodging Libyian MiGs! I was getting shot at by forces of half the nations in the Middle East! You say you served when all you did was hang out in Groton while the real sailors went off on ballistic missile patrols! What a wuss!!!

Isn't Democratic reasoning a wonderful thing. :flowers:

You'd probably get a lot less negative replies - at least from me - if you'd bother to talk to people, respond to questions, engage in actual argument and discussion, and try to be anything other than a shitstirring bomb-n-runner whose follow-ups are lame one-liners.

On the other hand, maybe you like it when people throw proverbial rotten tomatoes at you.

Glad to see that you have had such a "distinguished" military career... :tool:

F-Off Pal, Wasn't my choice either but somebody's got to fix them boats. The Fulton was in the battle of Midway. I'm not the one who put it in Groton.

Hey, I work for a living. It's a rare time when I get a chance to post here at all. How many of you are spending your whole work day doing this stuff?

If you have no "leg" to stand on (like a distinguished career, such as John McCain's) don't knock anyone else's service.
