My response to him is:
One thing wrong with American men - they are dull and witless, and think criticizing women makes them appear sophisticated and discriminating.
(Which isn't true of all men, but certainly is true of this particular man.)
Sounds like he needs to stop hanging out at the bars and broaden his dating horizons.
