If not for the two young girls that died, I could find many ways to joke about this. But when it involves children, I just cant do it.

I've got to agree w/you on the bcp-
I like a clever sarcastic pun as much as the next person does. However, some comments reflect a total lack of compassion in this situation. I'm very familiar with this community (Shenandoah Valley), the Mennonites and farmers both contribute a great deal to creating the peaceful atmosphere one finds here. This tragedy happened to a young Mennonite farming family, hard working and dedicated to their beliefs and way of life. Compassion is one of the many attributes of the Mennonites. One can only hope others will eventually learn the meaning of it.

Blacksheep, dont take me wrong, I can be just as cold hearted as the next guy.
when pookie gets gunned down while dealing crack, thats just full of opportunity for comments.
When someone dies in an auto accident because they were trying to outrun the police over something minor, that can be a fun thread
People jumping off of high places is always good for some physics humor.

but when it involves a child, we are talking about innocence and an opportunity of a full life lost.
Those two girls were trying to help their father becuase they loved him. He would have done the same for them.

This is not a story about stupidity, but one of a family trying to save their father and husband.

I dont like stories like this, it brings to mind how fragile life really is and how quickley it can end for any of us at any given moment.
