I know quite a few guys like that..Cash businesses allow quite a bit of leeway in bookkeeping.
One of my former brothers in law had a coin-op laundromat. When I found out how bad he had treated my sister, dimed him out to the IRS.
It took him 15 years to pay off the IRS and Massachusetts.
My sister never went short as the Court in Mass. pays alimony and child support. He was responsible for reimbursing the Court.
It was so bad, that when my sister sought an annulment so she could remarry (Catholic), the bishop and his council talked to her for over 2 hours. They talked to him for 15 minutes. The Bishop's secretary called her and said (in paraphrase): "Anne Marie, we are amazed you gave that man 15 years of your life. The Bishop is not only granting the annulment, but is waiving the usual donation."
He's on wife #3, and is a janitor in Florida now.
