Beautiful day for a ride.
Just completed 5000 miles on my class M license.
I'm pretty impressed with me....
Cheers my-thyme, here is to many more miles of safe driving.
How has the bike been, any problems other than routine maintenance??
Ladies call their bikes "she" also? Guys have a reason for doing it. What is your reason? She also really prefers high test gas, so that's what she gets now. I'm still nervous about 235 in the Park, only go that route if I have to. Still haven't been across the bridge to Solomons - need to try that - early on a Sunday morning I figure would be best for me and everyone else on that bridge! I'll probably just get up and do it by myself some Sunday morning...up to Prince Fred, across Benedict, back home.

The TJ bridge is nothing at all to cross. Just keep your speed up and...never mind; no one does that anyhow.
Hmmm, filling up @ 60 miles? On 2 gallons? Seems really low. I go 250 miles on my 650, with 5.2 gallons. cut that in half since you have half the gas, that's about 125. And you are getting half of that.......
Are you just being cautious and filling up at a half tank? Have you ever run it down to reserve to see how far a tank will get you? Safe to do so, since reserve will get you much farther than any distance you might be away from a gas station around here.
My mileage is about 50ish per gallon.
I have had to switch to reserve a couple of times, but I've never paid attention to where I started. I do often fill up just because, I usually put 1.5 - 2 gallons in, 2.3 last time I got to reserve.
Next time I fill up, I'll make note of my mileage and let it get down to reserve. I'll get back with you....
Do you also use high test?

Good for you!
Now, enough being impressed and go train some more. Take this class;
Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic
At least do level 1.
That looks like another good class. Very well may be the next one I take. Some of the pictures are cool...big bikes leaning way into a turn. I'd be a bit nervous, but enjoy it.
Excuse me while I go do more reading.
"She" is just habit I guess? Aren't all bikes a "she"?....
Figures: mine would be a "Lu Lu Bell"......big, wide, loud and saddle bags. Typical SOMD HOG

Anyone care to tell "my-thyme" why guys call their bikes "she"?"She" is just habit I guess? Aren't all bikes "she"?
Keeping speed up is something I've struggled to overcome, still feel like slowing down on a corner would be the better option, but I know better now!
