I didn't live here then, but I knew people who did and I drove through it occasionally. I try to picture what it looked like before and it's hard to do. It's amazing how the town was able to bounce back and rebuild so quickly! So sad for those who lost everything.

IMO the part of town that was ravaged looks much better at present.





Now if we could just stop all the pharmacies, etc from getting built!

It only did $35K worth of damage to my house - I had friends who lost everything except for the clothes on their backs...

Parts of town (LaPlata) do look better, but in another sense it looks like crap with the tree's messed up - but there is nothing that can be done about that. It is just a staunch reminder of what can happen.
