KUTV) A man was taken to Utah County Jail Saturday night after a fight broke out among golfers in Payson.

According to Lieutenant Bill Wright with Payson Police, around 8:20 p.m. Saturday night a group of four golfers were playing ahead of a 61-year-old Lee Johnson and his his wife. The man and woman thought that the group was going too slow and wanted to play through, but the group did not want them too.

Around the ninth hole, Johnson and his wife caught up with part of the group and thought they would be allowed to play through, but again the group refused.

Johnson then pulled a pocket knife and stabbed one person, Wright said. He was wrestled to the ground by the other golfer from the group.

I've run into more asshats on the gold course than I ever do in beltway traffic. Jerks just like those mormons...oops, morons who, I can tell you from long experience, didn't let them though because of the woman.

Maybe I don't golf enough (tell that to my wife), but I've never seen any #######s while golfing.

If a group is barking up our ass we actually invite them to play through. I don't know why someone wouldn't let a group play through. I guess it's a competitive thing, and makes them feel like they have a small penis.

A foursome should ALWAYS let a pair play through. If you are on your 6th shot and you are still 150 yards short of the green, don't be surprised if you hear a THUNK because I just uncorked a drive for the ages.

Common sense and proper golf etiquette. The golf part still usually works, but lack of common sense leaves much to be desired anymore.

Vince and I were playing on base and these aholes hit into us. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt because...meh, who cares. But Vince was hot. Usually I'm the one who wants to jack people up but I got to be the restrainer that day. And he was right, they definitely hit into us on purpose.

The funny part is that they weren't even supposed to be behind us. They got lost and ended up on the wrong hole, which is why they thought we were playing slow. :lol:

I was playing with my son in TX once and these guys hit into us. And this was after we invited them to play through and they declined.

So what is it about guys and wanting to be #### heads on the golf course? It's a game, people.
