7-9-07 Fatal Crash Closes Route 260 in Calvert

A fatal crash has closed Route 260 (Chesapeake Beach Road) just west of Route 2 near Owings, Maryland.

Investigators say a flatbed tow truck and an SUV crashed head-on crash shortly before 5 p.m. near the Anne Arundel-Calvert County line.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department says one person died and 46-year-old man was flown to Prince George's Hospital Center.

Anne Arundel County Police say the road will be closed down for several hours for the investigation.
