They are open till 6:00 but she can only go to a rescue as she was turned in because she bit the other dog. The other dog required a vet visit. That's all the shelter has on her.

I'm sure there are plenty of multi dog households that have had dogs get in fights. It depends on the owner how it is handled. They didn't say on the surrender if this was the first time or what might have triggered it.

The shelter says she is friendly and housebroke (oh and possibly in heat).

She can only be released to a rescue at this point.

UPDATE: The shelter pulled her from the PTS sheet for today, but it doesn't guarantee how long they will hold her, 1 day, 2 days, who knows. If they didn't feel like she was worth a chance they would have not held her past her hold date.

I hope someone can get a rescue to get her...9 mo old is a little young to start attacking another dog...I have had trouble with my adult dogs but they are mature dogs after they have had a litter..I never had a 9 mo old want to scrap..I hope the best for the little girl..they are nice dogs..

One must know the whole story behind this. Maybe the dog is too unpredictable. There are two pitt bulls in quarantine now, one of them unprovoked attacked and bit the other a few weeks ago, no one did anything about it, just commented on "how vicious it was". This week the same pitt bull along with the other attacked and mauled a miniature horse asleep in the field unprovoked and tore her to shreads, what next, their small children.

I would talk to my group and I would foster her, but I just got the momma and her 8 pups today. The pups are a week old, and momma is a angel.
