That's what my girls both said. It was probably some kid that had been or was going hunting and was dumb enough to tell a friend the gun was there. They knew kids who did it often, just never had anybody tattle on them.

Turkey didn't open until Thursday.

It maybe wasn't a "big deal" but maybe it was. The fact that others knew about it means the kid ran his mouth. There are going to be those at the school who would hear about it and make it their life's work to get that gun. They would be the ones to make it a "big deal".
