Some of you on here may know that one of my favorite movies is the Wizard of Oz. The other one is A Christmas Carol. Number one is the 1938 version, but the one with George C. Scott is right up there. AMCHD is showing it right now. Hubby and I are watching. I LOVE Scrooge!!! We're at the Ghost of Christmas Past now...

I'm not sure which one it is, but I have always liked "A Christmas Carol" and it is the musical...I look for it every year but it is rarely mentioned...not sure who plays "Scrooge" either, but I love this version!

Is this the one you're talking about?

A Christmas Carol - The Musical (2004) - Movie Info - Yahoo! Movies

I've never been too into musicals, but I love Holiday Inn/White Christmas. That will probably be next up on my "have to watch" list!! Bing Crosby IS White Christmas! :yay:

Alastair Sim in the 1951 version is by far the best Scrooge !
That's my favorite as well, although I'm not totally sure why. Unfortunately, the only ones I have seen on t.v. so far are the Patrick Stewart and George Scott versions, neither of which I care for. I do have the 1951 version DVD, but it's buried in a box somewhere.

I love the George C. Scott version! I watch it every year, and I always get spooked. I haven't seen the older versions, I'll have to look out for those.

I found it! It wasn't "A Christmas Carol", it is "Scrooge", 1970 with Albert Finney. It is the best version, IMHO!
