A Christmas Carol

Some of you on here may know that one of my favorite movies is the Wizard of Oz. The other one is A Christmas Carol. Number one is the 1938 version, but the one with George C. Scott is right up there. AMCHD is showing it right now. Hubby and I are watching. I LOVE Scrooge!!! We're at the Ghost of Christmas Past now...

He was definitely good, but Reginald Owen in the 1938 version was a bit better!

I actually prefer the Mr. Magoo version myself.

I'm not sure which one it is, but I have always liked "A Christmas Carol" and it is the musical...I look for it every year but it is rarely mentioned...not sure who plays "Scrooge" either, but I love this version!

I've never been too into musicals, but I love Holiday Inn/White Christmas. That will probably be next up on my "have to watch" list!! Bing Crosby IS White Christmas!

That's my favorite as well, although I'm not totally sure why. Unfortunately, the only ones I have seen on t.v. so far are the Patrick Stewart and George Scott versions, neither of which I care for. I do have the 1951 version DVD, but it's buried in a box somewhere.

I love the George C. Scott version! I watch it every year, and I always get spooked. I haven't seen the older versions, I'll have to look out for those.

I found it! It wasn't "A Christmas Carol", it is "Scrooge", 1970 with Albert Finney. It is the best version, IMHO!
