Happy birthday to Rottncop!
Meet Yummy....How cute is she?? I finally gave in 5 years after loosing our last bulldog, and got RC a 14 m.o puppy for his birthday. We have our eye on a gorgeous male show puppy from NC too....

They're both cuties! It can be hard to get another pet once you've lost one but it looks like you found a winner who will make you smile for many years to come. My husband "tricked me" into getting a baby black lab a year ago - I wanted a dog who was a little older and already housebroken. He didn't tell me the age of the puppy until we were walking in. At that point, it was all over for me. There was no turning back, no way I could resist his cute face and ears!! Now I can't imagine him not being here.

It is hard getting another pet after a passing of another one. It took me 5 years to get another cat once Callie passed. I had Callie for 13 years. Now I have 2 cats Snickers and Trouble and we are thinking about getting a dog........

We had a family cat while I was growing up who lived for 18 years. When I was eleven I saw a sign for free kittens & brought one home, telling my parents she "followed me home". Of course they knew I was full of it but my brother & I suckered them into keeping her. It took me a few years to feel like I was ready for another cat but I eventually got a rescue cat (Gemini) from a shelter who is loving toward me but scared of the world. I think getting Jake (the dog) has helped her because she's more confident than ever & thinks she runs the house! :lmao:
