happy to be living
Yesterday, we had the Bagels with Beagles event at the store. That event went great but this really topped the day off.
Mid afternoon, a man came in the store and asked if I could help him. He went fishing and came out to find a kitten in the wheel well of his truck. He didn't know what to do with him as his wife and daughter are allergic. When I took one look at the kitten, I took him right back to the utility sink. I have never in my life seen an animal so covered with fleas. I am surprized the little guy was alive. We washed him with Dawn and picked and picked and picked fleas off of him. OMG. Within an hour, he had transformed into a beautiful and sweet little white kitten that purred like a motorboat and had the appetite of a lion! He them curled up in the crook of someone's arm while purring and kneading away!
One of the HSCC volunteers took him home and was going to keep him away from the other cats until he was seen by a vet.
Cindy guessed he is about 6 to 8 weeks old. "Prince Valiant", as we dubbed him, is going to make someone a mighty fine pet.
My husband asked me where I had him hidden in our house (I wish!)
