Its been so cold and crappy lately, I decided to start playing with some photography indoors. I have been wanting to do some shots of smoke for awhile, and finally got the time last night.

Hey Jason,

At first I was liking #4, but as I continued down #6, I think is your strongest one...(IMO).
Take a look at #5 the bottom half, it kinda looks like a person, legs walking upper torso with one arm straight and other bent??
#3 was there anything left on the top of #3 or was it out of the frame? My thought is, if it's out, kinda takes away from it a bit.
Anyway cool affect...

Great shots Jason!

I have one of those Christmas DVD's where there is a big fire burning in the background with music playing. One night last month I paused the DVD and I saw the most beautiful form in the flame. It's amazing how fast the fire is moving and you don't see much more than the flame rapidly changing itself but, when you stop it, sometimes it's awesome! I stopped it a few different times after that just to see what happens.

Thanks all!

Frank, Yeah that one is cutting the top off. I just couldn't catch the entire thing in the frame. I really don't like the cut off at the top, but it kinda looks like hearts in the smoke below that. Plus I didn't want to take out the smoke in photoshop. I changed that color some, but that was about it.

SoccerMom, No, for this you have to setup a background, remote flash, and another light so you can auto focus.

Then you set up an incense or something to produce smoke.

Be Careful, don't catch anything on fire. I will not be responsible for any mishaps.
