If you have 20 minutes to spare (and don't mind listening to Chinese and reading subtitles) this video by Dep Nat Sec Advisor Matt Pottinger* is brilliant:

Brought to my attention by CDRSalamander:

Did I say the video was brilliant? Oh yes, I did. I was also wrong, though; it's SUPER BRILLIANT!

This is how Info Warfare is done. More please!

I did yard work today, so I'm hurting and not up to the video right now. I'll try to get to it in a day or two. In the meantime, I spotted this a few minutes ago, and thought it looked interesting. See what you think. https://tinyurl.com/yalrt77r

Did a quick read. Thank you. Speaks to exactly why the video I posted (above) is important: in the above video we have a Westerner who's NOT speaking Mandarin "at a level that would make any native cringe." Rather, my guess is Pottinger is native fluent.

The article also gets the "problem" with China absolutely correct in both broad terms and in some of the specifics.

My only issue with the essay is that what the author is saying now about the West's disadvantages with China is pretty much the same as what critics of the West said during the Cold War. Yes, China is on sounder economic ground and has greater financial leverage than the USSR, but the West has advantages over where we were back then. So, for me, it's a wash. So I don't buy into the lede which is that China has already won (and thus, we've lost). (I suspect some of this is click bait....)

Anyway, a nice add. Thanks for finding and posting.

Cheers!

I'll add this:

If we can have leadership that speaks as forcefully as Reagan did we are in good shape. Hence, why not electing anyone from the Dem side is so crucial.
