A problem for every solution

Among the many things that frustrate Americans about Washington, D.C., is the unwillingness — not inability, but unwillingness — to solve problems.

One of many examples is the U.S. national debt, now more than $22 trillion and counting.

As Heritage Foundation President Kay Coles James has written, “The federal budget is at the core of our political system. Everything the federal government does, from taxing, to regulating, to providing services, to protecting our very freedoms, it does through the federal budget.”

Just a few stunningly obvious points:

1. If you are over 16, you should understand that govt rarely solves problems. Govt manages problems.

2. The Heritage Foundation is and always will be a joke. Only morons follow anything they say.

3. The "main driver" of our debt is incredibly simplistic, the American people thru their elected representatives want ever increasing amounts of spending but refuse to pay the bill.

4. Entitlements are a symptom not the cause. Yes, Social Security is easier to fix. Lowering the tax FICA tax rate is not in the solution set of rational individuals.

5. To point out the utter stupidity of the author, the Heritage Foundation and anyone who shares this articles with others, one only needs to point out the following quote:

“According to the Urban Institute,” says the Blueprint, “the average worker retiring in 2020 will have paid $135,000 in Social Security taxes and will receive $193,000 in Social Security benefits.

That's the whole freaking point of setting aside money for future use. You set it aside for it to grow...so it is worth more when you pull it out.

They're too busy trying to solve problems that aren't their place to solve, like men who are pissed that they can't use the ladies room and compete in women's sports.
