Stupid dem quote of the day.

"For as long as I can remember, Louisiana reflexively responded to an increase in crime by putting more people in prison and keeping them there longer," Edwards told Louisiana news outlet NOLA.com this week.

I thought that was the punishment for committing a crime.

And another gem from the Gov.

"We've never been made safer as a result of that," Edwards said. "There is no data to suggest that an increase in crime here was because of the reforms."

Hey dem-dip-crap, incarcerated criminals very seldom commit crimes outside of prison so people are safer. The recidivism data is available but you chose to ignore it or you are too stupid to understand it. A quick Google search revealed the rate to be 29.6% for 2023 to date. As for your prison overcrowding WGAF other than the prisoners? States should embrace overcrowding and promote it as a deterrent.

Maybe the outgoing Governor needs to be a victim of a crime that one of these fine upstanding citizens commits.
Most people in prison are not "reformed" but instead come out worse than when they went in.

Pretty sure it makes it more dangerous on the guards.

Because the guards are hog tied when it comes to maintaining order. If the prisoners start something just go to lockdown and let them fight it out. The population will decrease. Kind of like how mother nature controls populations.

The first time one of these pardoned killers kills another person this ass-wipe should be charged as an accessory.
